Early Morning in Kahului, Maui - Kanaha Beach

ハワイ、マウイ島の玄関口、カフルイ空港そばのカナハビーチの早朝散歩

Not so many visitors know about this beach unless they wind/kite-surf. White sand on this beach a little more coarse than Kihei's. The floor under the water surface is more rocky. You have to be careful when the surf's up. However, because of those factors, the color of the ocean is more vividly blue. It reminds my days in the island of Ambon in Indonesia. I only filmed the entrance area of this beach. Someday, I will take you to the deeper end of Kanaha Beach. It is very isolated and beautiful. So, stay tuned.

ウィンドサーフィンやカイトサーフィンでマウイ島へいらしたならともかく、リゾートを求めていらした観光客のみなさまには馴染みの無いカナハビーチ。キヘイの砂浜に比べると少し大粒で荒い砂。水面下は岩場も多いので波が高い時は注意が必要です。　でもそのおかげで海の色は一段と青いのです。ここへくるとちょっと前にちょっと長すぎる滞在をしたインドネシアの小さな島、アンボン島を思い出します。この映像はビーチの入り口しかご紹介していません。また今度、もっと奥の方をご紹介しますね。　本当に人がいなくて美しいスポットなんです。乞うご期待！
